Using Sokkah Fantasy

These terms apply when you create an account or use Sokkah Fantasy. If you do not agree to them, do not create an account or use the service.

Sokkah Fantasy is a free, supporter-run fantasy football game for A-League Men. It has no entry fee or cash prizes and is not a betting or gambling service.

Your account

• You may have one Fantasy Team per Manager in each Season.
• Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think somebody else has accessed your account.
• Your Manager and Team names are visible to other Managers. Do not use names that impersonate, threaten, abuse or harass somebody, or that otherwise break the law.
• You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

Playing the game

The Game Rules explain Squad selection, deadlines, Transfers, scoring and other competition details. You must follow those rules and any instructions shown in the service.

Live scores and standings may change until they are Final. We may correct Fixture, Player, scoring or technical errors and update affected results. We keep an audited correction history where the game requires one.

Fair and acceptable use

You must not:

• cheat, exploit a defect or interfere with fair competition;
• use bots, scripts or automated requests that disrupt the service or place an unreasonable load on it;
• attempt to access another person's account, private selections or restricted parts of the service; or
• introduce malicious code, disrupt the service or use it for an unlawful purpose.

Moderation and account closure

We may remove or rename content, limit access, or suspend an account when reasonably needed to protect Managers, security, fair play or the service. This includes serious or repeated breaches of these terms or the Game Rules. Where practical, we will explain the action and give you a way to contact us.

You may ask us to close your account. Our handling and retention of account and game records is explained in our Privacy notice.

Availability and changes

A small volunteer team operates Sokkah Fantasy. We work to keep the service accurate and available, but maintenance, faults or events outside our control may interrupt it. We may change or discontinue features when needed to operate the game safely and fairly.

Third parties and intellectual property

Sokkah Fantasy is an independent supporter project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Australian Professional Leagues, Football Australia, the A-Leagues or their Clubs. Names, marks and other material belonging to those organisations remain the property of their respective owners.

The service uses third-party hosting, authentication, security, advertising and football-data providers. Their services may be subject to separate terms and policies.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free third-party data, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and give reasonable notice of a material change. If you continue to use the service after the updated terms take effect, the updated terms apply to your use.
